Wimpys Little Step Moves to Cinder Lakes Ranch and Reproduction Center

NRHA is proud to announce that two of its Corporate Partners will join forces to become a breeding powerhouse. NRHA’s youngest  Two Million Dollar Sire Wimpys Little Step has moved to Cinder Lakes Ranch and Reproduction Center’s state of the art breeding facility in Valley View, Texas.

NR02p1C3- WLS Shawn smTodd Barden, NRHA Senior Director of Sponsorship Development & Television Programming says, “As NRHA Corporate Partners, Cinder Lakes Ranch and Reproduction Center and Wimpys Little Step have gone above and beyond to support NRHA and Reining. I’m excited to see this new partnership develop. It’s a great example of how NRHA Corporate Partners not only work with NRHA, but also with each other, to promote excellence in the sport of Reining.”

The 11-year-old stallion (Nu Chex To Cash x Leolita Step), owned by Mark Schols of College Grove, Tennesse, is one of NRHA’s top young sires. “Wimpy” recently became the youngest Two Million Dollar Sire in NRHA history with offspring such as Wimpys Little Chic (NRHA Futurity, NRHA Derby and National Reining Breeders Classic Champion) and RC Fancy Step (NRHA Derby and All American Quarter Horse Champion) propelling his offspring earnings over two million dollars.

Rick Ford’s Cinder Lakes Ranch, specializes in breeding and raising top-notch cutting, reining and working cow horse out of their facilities in Valley View, Texas and Powell Butte, Oregon. The Texas location is located in the heart of performance horse country and serves as an ideal location for breeding operations. Wimpys Little Step joins an exceptional stallion roster including some of reining’s best performers and sires: Easy Otie Whiz, Einstein, Jacs Electric Spark, and Very Smart Remedy.

Cinder Lakes provides a full range of services including an extensive reproductive program, stallion services, mare management, and sales fitting. With state of the art facilities, specialized and experienced staff, and some of the best-bred stallions and broodmares, Cinder Lakes Ranch offers “infinite opportunities and infinite rewards.”
