Europe’s Top Reiners in Austria – 3rd Deadline on August 7

Only four more weeks until the $100,000 added 2010 Austrian Reining Futurity & Derby. Europe’s top reiners will meet at the beautiful and renowned facility Helmut and Dennis Schulz September 1-4 in Wiener Neustadt (south of Vienna) for a top event which opens the 2010 Futurity season in Europe. For four days, fine reining prospects will shown in the Futurity and Derby classes with a purse of $25,000 added alone in the Open Level 4 Futurity and $12,000 added in the Open Level 4 Derby. The event is approved by NRHA approved and offers a full slate of NRHA classes including a $10,000 added NRHA Lawson Bronze Trophy Open and a $5,000 NRHA Bronze Trophy Non Pro.
No wonder this mega event attracts the best reiners of Europe. Canadian Cody Sapergia, who trains in Italy now, will bring four horses to this show. Among the entries are many competitors of the 2010 World Equestrian Games like three-time NRHA World Champion Rudi Kronsteiner, two-time Austrian Futurity Champion Markus Morawitz, multiple Bronze Trophy Champion Dennis Schulz who will ride for Austria and the German team members Sylvia Rzepka and Grischa Ludwig. Other competitors are 2009 NRHA European Futurity Champion Bernard Fonck (BEL), NRHA Breeders Derby Champion Morey Fisk (CAN), Markus Schöpfer (ITA), Nicola Cordioli (ITA) and NRHA Derby Champion Kelly Zweifel.
So far, 130 horses from all over Europe have been nominated for this event, but new entries are still being made. 65 horses are nominated for the Open Futurity thus far. The third deadline is close: August 7. The final deadline for entries is August 22.
