Provided by Simona Diale – Manerbio, November 14 – Open to 3-year-old horses by stallions subscribed to the IRHBA Breeding Program, the NRHA/IRHA Open Futurity is run in a two-go round format and seeded finals.
Following the second go-round, which saw NRHA Million Dollar Rider Rudi Kronsteiner lead the $101,400-added Level 4 division with a 221.5 aboard Soc. Agricola Bevilaqua’s Dun After The Rain (Frozen Sailor x Pap Little Sol x Sure Slide Solano), the Open finalists are now determined. Leading the Level 4 composite, with a score of 440.5, are the winners of the first go-round, Giuseppe Prevosti and Spooks O Lena (Spooks Gotta Gun x Lonesome Sally Lena x Doc O Lena) owned by Davide Rossi and Ambrosini QH ASD.
With a compostie score of 437.5, leading the $29,900-added Level 3, the $11,700-added Level 2 and the $3,250-added Level 1 are Mirko Midili and SG Frozen Enterprize (Frozen Sailor x RS Rose SJ x SJ Enterprise) for owner Marco Franchini. Open finalists will make their way back to the showpen on Saturday 17th.
The IRHA/NRHA 3-year-old Non Pro Futurity
The Non Pro Futurity, open to 3-year-old horses, is run in a qualifying go-round and seeded finals. Leading the go-round iin the $39,000-added Level 4 division was Claudio Risso riding his RS Nebbiolo Blue (Spat A Blue x RS Hollywood Hglo x Mcjac Flash) with a score of 216.5.
Leading the $19,500-added Level 3 division as well as the $7,800-added Level 2 division was Giacomo Ronchi of Italy riding his San July Jo Magnetic (Chic Magnetic x Broc Olena Jo x Smart Sugar Chic). Ronchi posted a 216.
In the $1,950-added Level 1, Pietro Paolo Ambrosini and Saturdays Remax (Saturday Night Custom x RM Remax x Reminic), owned by Ambrosini QH Asp, took the lead with a 212.5. Riders who did not qualify for the finals had a chance to make it back on Friday afternoon by showing in the Consolation. The first two riders plus ties in each level will have a chance to vye for the titles. The overall top score, a 209.5, of the Non Pro Consolation was posted by Giovanni Masi de Vargas riding Thaz A Twist (Smartaz x Snap And Twist x Snapper Cal Bar) for owner Filippo Masi de Vargas.
The finals will be held on Friday 16th.

The Finals of the $9,100-added Level 4, the $4,550-added Level 3, the $3,250-added Level and $1.950-added Level 1 IRHA/NRHA 4-year-old Futurity will be held tomorrow, Thursday 15th.

NRHA/IRHA Ancillary Action
During the event, a full-slate of NRHA/IRHA approved classes are also offered as well as the finals of the 2012 Italian Reining Horse Association Championship.
The very first ‘Reiner of The Future Trophy’ will take place on Saturday before the Open Finals. Riding for the trophy will be Under 14 Youth riders from each Italian region!
