. The NEC4 Alliance Treaty is a multi-party contract for the appointment of a number of partners to form an alliance for a major project or work programme. This contract is different from the others in the NEC4 suite because it is a multi-party contract with an integrated risk and reward model. However, it largely follows the same principles of other NEC4 contracts, with well-known provisions, management processes and terminology. The NEC4 Alliance Contract (ALC) marks the next stage of NEC cooperation and creates a “genuine” alliance agreement in which the customer and all key members of the supply chain, known as “partners” in the LAC, are engaged under a single contract. All Alliance members have an equal voice and participate in the performance of the alliance as a whole as opposed to their own individual performances.
