Support Young Reining Artists

While you’re at the 2020 NRHA Derby presented by Markel, make a short trip to the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum to see outstanding artwork by NRHyA members.

Artists dream of having their work displayed at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, and for five NRHyA members, that dream is currently a reality.

Earlier this year, NRHyA members were challenged to submit their best artwork for the NRHyA Art & Photo Contest, sponsored by the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. At the end of the entry period, 17 young artists had submitted 30 pieces of work. This week, during the 2020 NRHA Derby presented by Markel, you have the chance to show your support of the winners in each category.

“We were so impressed with the entries,” said Gary Carpenter, NRHA Commissioner. “They each showed considerable talent and artistic expression. We encourage you to enjoy these works of art at an iconic Oklahoma location.”

Here are the five first-place winners from the contest.

Photography, 14–18: Lydia Bell
Photography, 13 & Under: Reed Selner
Graphic Artwork, 14–18: Campbell McLeod
Mixed Medium, 14–18: Olivia Klug
Mixed Medium, 13 & Under: Isabelle Hildebrandt
