From Ramona Billing – Augsburg, Germany - The 2013 FEI European Reining Championship (Senior Division) will be hosted by a very special event: Americana, Europe’s biggest Western Riding Fair and premier Western Event. Located in the heart of beautiful historic Augsburg, this event attracts more than 45.000 visitors with its unique combination of high class sport, entertainment and fair. So it should be the optimal platform for the FEI European Championship – especially, as Americana attracts a lot of attention from international media. Americana is also well known in the reining scene due to its Americana Lawson Bronze Trophy Open and Non Pro.
10 to 15 Nations participating
The FEI European Championship Reining consists of a team and an individual competition. The team competition is scheduled for Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 7.30 p.m. Each team consists of three to four riders (with four riders, the lowest score will be scratched), who must qualify for their team in their country. The top riders will meet again for the individual competition on Sunday, September 1, 2013. Ten to 15 nations are expected to send their teams / indivual riders to Augsburg. The event is judged by Francois Zurcher (president), George Maschalani, Ricky Bordignon, Karen McQuistion, Eugenio Latorre and Equipment Judge Maik Bartmann.
